Flights
Closest Airport: Asturias Airport (OVD)
Around 35/40 minutes drive from Oviedo. Asturias is a small and very easy-to-navigate airport, but this does mean:
- •There are no direct flights from the US or Canada, so you'll likely have a layover (often in Madrid).
- •There are currently 2 direct flights a week from London Gatwick to Asturias (Thursdays and Sundays)
We recommend the following flights for the most convenient journey:
- •Vueling Airlines: 09:20 (LGW) - 12:25 (OVD)
- •Vueling Airlines: 20:50 (OVD) - 21:35 (LGW)
We will be in Asturias from 6 August until 16 August.

For a cheaper journey, we suggest flying to alternative airports with more frequent flights:
Santander Airport (SDR)
approx. 2-3 hours to Oviedo

Getting to Oviedo: You will need to get a coach from Santander to Oviedo (2-3 hours). You could also rent a car and drive to Oviedo.

Getting to Oviedo: You will need to get a coach from Bilbao to Oviedo (3-4 hours). You could also rent a car and drive to Oviedo, or get a train.

Coach Service
The August 2026 bus schedule isn’t available yet, but buses generally run every 30 minutes. You can check the official page closer to the date for exact times.
Car Rental
It's also possible to rent a car from the airport and drive to Oviedo.
Taxi
There will taxis waiting outside the airport to pick people up (cost approx. 50 euros).

Below are our recommended hotel options covering a range of prices for the week of our wedding. All of them are located in Oviedo city centre and are within walking distance of the likely pick-up spot for transportation* to the venue.
Booking Tips
Summer is a popular time to visit Oviedo, so we encourage you to book accommodation as early as possible, as hotels and apartments can fill up quickly.
If you're travelling as a group of more than 2–3 people, or if you're coming with family/children, we also recommend looking at Airbnb options in the city.
*We will be arranging transportation to and from the wedding venue for all guests. The pick-up point will be within easy walking distance of the hotels listed above.
